Science Communication Techniques at Rutgers University

This past summer, I had the pleasure of teaching science communication techniques at Rutgers University – Camden with the post-docs and PhD students at the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology. Through applied theatre and improvisation, the Center for Communicating Science at Virginia Tech helps provide a space for researchers, scholars, and scientists to discover the art of connecting across difference.

My sincere gratitude for this experience goes to Patricia Raun and Jon Catherwood-Ginn for being thoughtful colleagues and mentors; to Virginia Tech for being my research home; to Rutgers University for welcoming us; and, to the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the grant to collaborate.
